Invite Connections to Follow Your LinkedIn® Company Page

Use LinkedIn® Company Page invitations selectively to introduce relevant first-degree connections to your organization without turning invites into indiscriminate outreach.

LinkedIn® Company Page Management - Invite Connections to Follow Your Company Page

LinkedIn® allows eligible Company Page admins to invite members to follow a Page. Used selectively, this can help an organization establish or grow a relevant audience. Used indiscriminately, it becomes little more than another unwanted notification.

Start with relevant first-degree connections

Super admins and content admins can invite eligible first-degree connections from the Page admin view. Prioritize people who have a genuine relationship with the organization, its market or the subjects the Page covers. Relevance matters more than exhausting an invitation allowance.

Understand invitation credits

LinkedIn uses monthly invitation credits shared across Page admins. Sending an invitation uses a credit, and an accepted invitation can return that credit to the Page balance. LinkedIn is changing the credit allowances available to free and Premium Company Pages, so use the balance shown in your Page rather than relying on an old fixed number.

Know what Premium changes

Eligible Premium Company Pages can have additional invitation options, including inviting followers of similar Pages and automatically inviting eligible people who engaged with Page content. LinkedIn currently restricts these Premium invitation routes to Page super admins. Treat them as additional growth routes, not as a reason to invite people with little relevance to the organization.

LinkedIn Premium Notes

Premium adds invitation routes beyond the standard connection-invite process. Keep these separate when measuring follower growth so you know which activity is producing useful followers.

Give the Page something worth seeing first

Before sending a batch of invitations, look at the Page as a new visitor. Is the Page complete? Is there recent useful content? Would the intended recipient understand why following might be worthwhile?

Remember whose name is attached

Manual Page invitations are sent in the name of the individual admin. That makes professional judgment especially important: the invitation reflects on the person as well as the organization.

Your task

Identify a small group of eligible connections for whom the Page is genuinely relevant. Review the Page from their perspective before inviting them, then check the current invitation balance and options shown in your Page rather than working from a historic allowance.
